Description of Shepherd’s Hideaway
This unique oak framed, air conditioned wooden shepherd’s hut is situated in its own one acre park next door to the owner’s smallholding comprising of working horses, pygmy goats, rare breed sheep, ducks, chickens and geese, with fantastic views in a wonderful countryside, less than 4 miles from the town of St Asaph in North Wales, the smallest city in the UK.
This tranquil setting is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic glamping break away or a couple of friends or family members to enjoy a get together.
The hut can be accessed by either three steps or the combined ramp and decking leading up into the property.
Inside there is a feature Victorian, cast-iron comfortable double bed.
Two comfy chairs, one a rocking chair, sits in front of a recessed fireplace housing a small woodburning stove which provides a warm ‘cosy cottage’ atmosphere.
A well-equipped kitchen, dining table and folding chairs are also provided.
The seating area looks out over the countryside towards the Clwydian Range, providing an excellent place to enjoy a morning coffee whilst sat at the table and chairs provided.
The one acre paddock backs onto the owners duck pond, pygmy goat and horse paddock.
There is an additional paddock at the bottom of the park, should you wish to bring your own horse or pony.
A fenced area houses the park’s rare breed of sheep and a newly planted orchard sits in the centre.

The hut is situated in its own paddock. Fencing surrounding the perimeter of the paddock ensures you dog can wander, relax and be safe - giving you peace of mind and allowing you to enjoy the outdoors!
Our hut is situated within a short walk of the hens and duck area of our small holding. Here you can gather your own eggs for the duration of your stay - or we can provide them to you!
