Description of Ling’s Meadow
Two fully furnished bell tents, a restored shepherd’s hut, a family sized living van and six large camping pitches are set within a peaceful four acre natural meadow that is also visited by a barn owl, hares, deer and buzzards on a regular basis.
Each glamping tent pitch has its own cut grass area with winding paths back to the communal facilities and has enough space for a large family tent.
A communal campfire with log seating is provided for the all important marshmallows and stargazing. Fire pits available to borrow.
The campsite is very much ‘off grid’ and has been lovingly developed with sustainability in mind.
Two luxury composting toilets and a separate solar and wood heated shower are housed in purpose built wooden pods. Washing up facilities and a drinking water tap are also provided.
Campers have access to a secure cycle shed.
To make it easier to travel light we also provide shared cooking and dining equipment and a tripod and grill over the communal campfire.
There is also the option of a pre-pitched tent for exhausted travellers ready to collapse by the campfire!
The small site is perfect for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet of the open countryside and a spot of campfire stargazing.
It is also ideal for groups of family or friends wanting to find space for a relaxing glamping break away from it all as it is possible to hire the site for your exclusive use.
The campsite can accommodate 25 people in 2 bell tents, a shepherd’s hut, a living van and up to 6 tents.
