Description of Norfolk Brickyard
The Brickmaker’s Retreat is in a glade, on a remote and forgotten brickyard, on the North Norfolk Coast with basic facilities but well made.
This stunning safari tent is set in an 18th century brickyard, 5 mins by car from some of the best beaches in the country.
We are 30 mins walk from Holkham Hall, one of the finest stately homes in the world, with countless attractions.
The campsite was set up by husband and wife team.
With clearings in the woods for bring your own camping we have gained a strong following amongst people who love “wild” camping.
The Brickmaker’s Retreat is the first proper glamping tent on the site.
It has a wooden floor, wood burning stove, candles, battery powered lights and a paraffin lantern for outside.

The raised deck has a large porch at the front which keeps off the cold and the rain and is perfect for dining by candlelight.
The campfire area outside is ideal for cooking, chilling with a beer and toasting marshmallows.
The spacious 5m x 5m interior is fully furnished, has standing room all the way around and space for board games and relaxing.
Fresh drinking water from a standpipe 30ft from the tent with a water station on the porch.

The child's play area is in the communal barn which also hosts the occasional pop-up restaurant.
We do these great Bam Mims which are Vietnamese sandwiches.

You bring your own sleeping bags or other bedding suitable for the luxury, inflatable, queen size mattress and two single bunk beds.
Although the tent is cosy, the nights can be cold so you should bring extra blankets.
