About Strawberry Safari Shepherds Huts

Three small but perfectly formed shepherds huts tucked away in the North Yorkshire countryside. Set within acres of green open space and private woodland, they offer the perfect, luxury hideaway.

Strawberry Safari a small, but perfectly formed glamping site in between Ripon and Harrogate in the stunning North Yorkshire countryside.

Originally forming part of the Ripon to Harrogate railway line, the site has been brought back to life as a rural retreat focused on relaxation, home grown produce and healthy living.

Guests can stay in our beautiful shepherds huts, set in acres of open space, pick fruit from the array of trees and plants or join a fitness class to blow away the cobwebs. Walk the grounds, curl up with a good book……..it's your choice.

Each Shepherds hut is named after a variety of strawberry, growing in the Strawberry Safari poly-tunnel.

Elsanta, the first shepherds hut was handmade locally to our own design and offers a cosy kitchen and living space, with a private en-suite shower room within the hut.

Florence offers a slightly larger hut, with all of the same amenities.

Sonata, our most recent addition has luxurious underfloor heating and a lovely view across the meadow.

All huts are well separated, allowing complete privacy and social distancing.

Yoga classes and wellbeing retreats can be arranged and are held in the beautiful outdoors, unless of inclement weather when they are delivered in a unique indoor space.

The grounds are a delight for nature lovers, creative minds and those seeking some stillness away from the stress of everyday life.

The shepherds huts are set within acres of space to explore including woodland, ponds and meadows. Yoga and fitness classes are available to pre-book, including an indoor studio space. Guests can pick their own produce from the polytunnels and fruit trees within the grounds. Parking is plentiful and owners are on hand for any queries.

The huts are beautifully designed and are equipped with everything you might need for a short break. They have an en-suite bathrooms and full kitchen facilities. Both huts are beautifully finished with luxurious bed linens and fluffy towels, each providing a stunning colour scheme for your accommodation. Special touches include Le Creuset kitchenware, WoolRoom bed linen and soft woollen Tweedmill blankets.

There is a welcome hamper in the huts with the essentials including milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. Torches and wellies are a good idea in wet weather.
