About North Star Club

The North Star Club is unique, nestling within 500 acres of native English woodland in the peaceful Yorkshire Wolds, with a wealth of wildlife and wonderful starry nights.

Inspired by the legendary American Great Camps and suffused with Yorkshire country style, this camp blends beautifully into the untamed forest setting.

The result is a ruggedly cosy and indulgent woodland escape – the perfect getaway from the pressures of 21st century living.

There are 8 privately situated cabins nestled in the woods, with private verandas and gas BBQ's; all decorated in modern rustic style.

The 5 Woodland suites have fabulous spa-style bathrooms, perfect for pampering treatments and individually designed, sumptuous décor, putting the North Star Club in a league of its own.

New are 3 Hideaway Suites, these cosy cabins are perfect for couples or families with young children.

The cool, communal Woodshed is the perfect place to curl up in front of the fire, or you can head outside to play woodland boules, or while away the evening spotting stars around the campfire.

The camp is 15 minutes walk from an award winning gastro pub and is situated between the historic cities of York and Beverley, its easily accessible and there are masses of things to do in the local area.

This truly is “uber” glamping.

Open all year North Star nestles in 500 acres of private woodland. The cosy communal Woodshed has a wood burner, comfy sofas, board games & a range of teas, coffee and not forgetting the delicious brownies. Outside you'll find woodland boules, large canopied seating and dining areas and a canopied communal campfire - fairy lights abound! Each beautifully designed cabin is unique and privately located, having electricity and endless hot water, private verandas face into the woods.

Each cabin has its own hot water and electricity with a gas BBQ cooker on the veranda. Large cabins have huge bathrooms, (perfect for pampering treatments by a local therapist), roll top baths, walk in showers and central heating as well as a wood burner. Kitchenette has a fridge, washing up area and electric kettle. Star suite has copper bath and a private infra red sauna - add some pampering and you have your own woodland spa!

North Star Club have developed their own system of reed beds to process waste instead of using a mains drainage system. They use recycled and upcycled furniture and wood from the forest as part of the design process.

North Star Club works with a large network of local suppliers who guests can arrange to provide a wide range of activities either on site or off site. A polo club which teaches beginners is close by, as is William's Den, a large family natural attraction and the beautiful cities of York and Beverley - both famous for their horse racing, bars, restaurants and shopping! Also nearby are several golf courses and a water sports park.
