We are a small rural site, situated in Mid-Wales close to the England/ Wales border. We have 6 en-suite cabins overlooking a lake where you can swim or use the kayaks at your own risk. We are a great central location if you wish to explore the area of mid -Wales.
We are a short drive to the market town of Builth Wells, home to the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show Ground. Also close by is the town of Hay on Wye, known as the town of books.
We are centrally located to access the mountain and walking ranges of Mid Wales, including the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley and the Damns, Black Mountains and Hay Bluff and the Cambrian Mountains. The Wye Valley Walk (Hay on Wye to Builth Wells) is just a couple of miles away and we are near to National Cycle Route 8.
If you wish to just turn up and put your feet up, we have lovely views of the local lush farmlands so you can just relax and enjoy the quiet, taking in the views and watching the wildlife.
Should you wish to use us as a base we are close to lots of places of interest, activity centres, visitor attractions and within short driving distances to annual events such as the Hay Festival, Royal Welsh Show and Brecon Jazz Festival.
The site is fenced so that children can run around freely in the open without the worry of traffic. Although we have a lake, the site is fenced with gate access to the lake field so children can't just wander off to the lake. Each cabin comes with parking for 1 vehicle, we do have additional parking which guests can request for an additional charge.
Each cabin has a small kitchenette which includes: Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, double hob, sink, George foreman grill. There are utensils for cooking, a frying pan and saucepan. Crockery for 4 place settings. Outside there is an area just outside of the cabin where there is picnic table with fire pit and BBQ grill. 3 of our cabins have wood fired hot tubs
We encourage guests to recycle
Think camping without tent. There is also very little light once the sun has gone down, therefore head torches or torches are important. Swimming costumes must be worn in the hot tubs or if using the lake
Prices vary depending on season as we are open all year. Lower prices displayed are for a deluxe cabin without a hot tub and the higher price is a deluxe cabin with a hot tub and this includes the wood you need to heat the hot tub.
We do not offer any refund in full or in part, however, if you have to cancel your booking we will try to accommodate you on a different date if available. We would recommend making sure you have holiday insurance incase you need cancel for any reason.
