“Boutique glamping accommodation tucked away in the hills at a secluded riverside setting within Snowdonia National Park.”

Description of Snowdonia Glamping Holidays

Tucked up in the hills above Betws-y-Coed, these shepherds huts and glamping barns offer luxurious glamping accommodation in a secluded setting in Snowdonia National Park.

– The huts:

Both of these wonderful, cosy and well-equipped shepherds huts are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

The living hut is no ordinary shepherds hut – it’s so cosy you’ll never want to leave!

There’s a comfortable sofa that pulls down at night to make an extra-long (6 1/2 ft) double bed with a sheeps wool mattress, luxurious feather duvet and pillows, and traditional Welsh blankets.

There’s also a luxurious Welsh Mountain sheepskin rug on the floor, a wood burning stove for chillier nights, a dresser and a small table and chairs.

The hut is incredibly comfortable, warm and has everything you’ll need.

The wash hut looks at first sight just like the other hut but step inside and you’ll immediately see that, in one half of the hut, there’s a lovely modern bathroom with a hot shower, a jug and bowl for washing and a flushing, caravan style, toilet.

In the other half there’s a fantastic wood-burning sauna with low and high level benches.

Just light the fire and in a short while you’ll have a lovely hot sauna to relax you either at the end of a hard day in the mountains or after an equally hard day relaxing by the river.

– The barn:

Our barn conversion takes glamping to a whole new level!

Big central wood burning stoves (as well as underfloor heating) ensure you’ll be cosy and warm all year round, luxury bathrooms that you’d be happy to find in a boutique hotel and enormously comfortable super king-sized beds and hidden away bunk beds that children love.

And the camping part? The kitchen is outdoors – sheltered and under cover of course – just in case it rains!

Naturally there’s a BBQ but there’s also a gas hob and of course there’s a seating area  outside so you can enjoy the lovely views, the sounds of nature and the stunning starry nights that we’re so lucky to enjoy.

Communal Areas

  • None, everything is private

Our glamping accommodations really are off the beaten track - even the postie doesn't come up here.

The only people you'll ever see are us and our 2 children and the occasional passing walker. So everything in the camp is exclusively for your use and very private.

Shared Amenities

  • None, everything is private

Everything is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

What to bring?

  • Basic Provisions

All you need to bring is something to eat, something to drink and something to wear!

Something to eat: The kitchens are well-equipped with everything you need for cooking a proper meal or BBQ. Tea, coffee, sugar as well as salt and pepper and olive oil and vinegar are also provided.

All accommodations have their own cool box as well as access to a shelf in a shared fridge and freezer. If you’d like to try some of our superb local produce, we’re happy to make up a basket of goodies to your specification – just let us know when you book.

Something to drink: That’s entirely up to you! The barns have fresh filtered spring water on tap and we provide it bottled for the shepherds’ huts. We can include Welsh ciders and craft beers in a local produce basket if you’d like to order one.

Something to wear: A pair of shoes like flip flops that are easy to kick on and off for going out to make a cup of tea (a “paned” in Welsh) are a good idea – as are wellies or walking boots. Woolly jumpers & bobble hats for late night star-gazing are also a good idea.
