Description of Penhein Glamping
Penhein Glamping is a family-run glampsite and farm in rural south Wales.
Six unique alachigh tent are hidden amongst semi-ancient woodland and surrounded by endless countryside.
Each tent is beautifully decorated and fully furnished with Persian-inspired interiors, comfy beds, running water, a wood-burning stove and an en-suite flushing loo.
Specially-designed kitchen units are well stocked with cooking equipment for home-made suppers by candlelight in the tent or a barbecue on the fire-pit just outside.
There’s also a shared kitchen nearby.
A luxurious shower block houses four monsoon showers, a roll-top bath, and underfloor heating.
Beyond the glampsite there are magnificent views of the Monmouthshire hills and Severn valley, acres of wildflower meadows, miles’ worth of walks and plenty of local attractions to discover.
Penhein’s unique location, rustic country charm and luxurious camping arrangements promise a wonderful adventure and an idyllic escape to nature.

The custom-built communal tent is home to comfy chairs and tables, bean bags, board games and cards for all glamping guests to use. Inside, a wood-burning stove keeps things cosy, whilst outside a fire pit is perfectly placed to take in the surrounding landscape.

Shared Amenities
In addition to the communal tent, Penhein has luxurious shared washroom facilities, with monsoon showers, basins, a roll-top bath and underfloor heating. There’s also a drying room for hanging damp outdoor gear at the end of a rainy day.
A ‘cheat’s kitchen’ serves as back-up to the wood-burning stove and fire pit in each tent. Here you’ll find a couple of hobs and a microwave.
Penhein Glamping is located in the heart of south Wales on private farmland, so of course guests also have shared access to the surrounding fields, meadows, and woodlands.
