About Penhein Glamping

Penhein Glamping is a multi award-winning luxury glampsite in Monmouthshire, South Wales. Tucked away in woods, surrounded by endless countryside with magnificent views...

Our eight beautiful alachigh tents can be found in 3 acres of ancient woodland on our family-run farm, surrounded by endless countryside with magnificent views of the Monmouthshire hills. All you need to do is pack your adventurous spirit, escape to nature, and sleep in luxury beneath the stars.

Each custom made tent is beautifully decorated and fully furnished with Persian-inspired interiors, comfy beds, running water, a wood-burning stove and an en-suite flushing loo. Specially-designed kitchen units are well stocked with cooking equipment. There’s also a shared kitchen nearby (fondly known as the Cheat's Kitchen) for those not up for the culinary adventure of cooking on the wood-burning stove in each tent or the fire pit just outside). Three of the tents have their own shower immediately outside their door, the others are allocated their own shower within the luxurious shower block with underfloor heating, hot monsoon showers and a roll-top bath.

There are 2 communal spaces, Chehel Sotoun, a stunning grove covered with a sumptuous stretch marquee in which to host group activities and meals or celebrate special occasions. With open sides for that outdoors party feel, tables, seating and electricity as required, this wonderful space is available to all. At the top end of Chehel Sotoun is a large open firepit surrounded by an outdoor semicircle of wooden seating, known as The Cwtch (Welsh for a cuddle or a hug!)

Then there is Petro, custom-built and kitted out for families and friends to enjoy getting together. Inside you’ll find electrical sockets, lamps, tables and chairs, bean bags, and lots of toys and games for entertainment. There’s a warming, wood-burning stove and, just outside, a large fire pit and huge BBQ both with sensational views across the meadows and valley.

Penhein’s unique location, rustic country charm and luxurious camping arrangements promise a wonderful adventure and an idyllic escape to nature.

We have 2 wonderful communal areas, luxurious washroom facilities, with monsoon showers, roll-top bath & underfloor heating and a drying room for hanging damp outdoor gear at the end of a wet day. Also the ‘Cheat’s Kitchen’ serves as back-up to the wood-burning stove and fire pit in each tent, with a couple of hobs and a microwave. There is an honesty shop for special treats. The glampsite is on private farmland so offers access to the surrounding fields, meadows with their stunning views.

Penhein provides the key ingredients for a happy glamping experience. As well as the basics, we also include some little luxuries such as a welcome hamper and useful kitchen essentials. However, you’ll need to bring your own food and drink and some cooking and washing up equipment and waterproof clothing. Notes about prices

We are open from the middle/end of March to the beginning of November each year. Our prices are per tent (not per person) and vary depending on the number of nights you stay and the time of year you would like to visit us for your holiday.

Cancellation policy

We ask for a 25% deposit to secure your booking. This includes a non refundable £50 booking fee per unit. Balance due 5 weeks before your stay.
