Kidwelly Glamping is based on a working farm, providing two luxury Safari tents and a Shepherd's hut in a stunning location where you will find everything you need for a fabulous glamping stay.
Kidwelly Glamping is a small family run campsite on Penlan Isaf Farm in West Wales. It has been awarded a Gold Award for a Quality Assured Glamping Site by Visit Wales.
Open all year our luxury Shepherd's Hut, the Big Cwtch is set in a secluded location with amazing views. It boasts a king-sized bed, two armchairs, a small fitted kitchen, a wood-burning stove and a bathroom. Bedlinen and towels are provided.

Red Kite and Merlin are two luxury safari tents in large secluded pitches open March to October.
There is electricity and hot and cold water. They have two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and one with bunk beds, with quality bedlinen and blankets provided. An extra fold-out bed is available on request.
The kitchen has an electric hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. There are comfy settees infront of a cosy wood burning stove. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink with towels provided.
Outside is your own private wood-fired hot tub and firepit.
There are cattle in the fields alongside the campsite and chickens, (come and collect the eggs), farm cats and a sheepdog called Twm. There are swings, a slide, trampoline and table tennis in the old farm courtyard.
The footpath from the campsite goes down through the woods to the town of Kidwelly where you can visit the magnificent castle, a 15 minute walk.
There are beaches nearby at Pembrey, Burry Port and Ferryside and you will be spoilt for choice for castles to explore in the area. The beaches of the Gower Peninsular, Tenby and Saudersfoot are about an hour away.
Cycle or walk along the Millennium coastal path with spectacular views of the estuary.
Kidwelly Glamping is the perfect base to travel from to explore Carmarthenshire's many attractions and is within easy distance of the Pembrokeshire and Brecon National Parks.
There is a safe parking area for cars 60 metres from each tent and the shepherd hut. The large play area in the farmyard has swings, slide, trampoline, ride on buggies, a table tennis table and a picnic table. A painted blackboard wall with chalk provided can draw out your artistic talents. Extra baskets of wood are available for £5.
There is a shared washing machine and tumble dryer.
The farm has it's own windmill providing electricity to the campsite. The water comes from the borehole. Wood for the burners comes from local woods.
Wellies will be needed to play in the brook and in the mornings when the dew is still on the grass. Torches are always handy when camping, there are no street lights for miles! There are many cycle routes in the area and a new circuit in Pembrey Country Park to try out. Stout footwear is advisable for the footpaths around the farm.
Shepherd's hut - There is a minimum stay of 2 nights in the Shepherd's during the High season from mid-July to the end of August. Otherwise a 1 night stay is allowed. Red Kite and Merlin Safari tents have a minimum 3 night stay in High season. Low & Mid-season a minimum of 2 night stay. Baskets of wood are provided for the first night's stay.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking. We understand that people's plans do change and so your booking is 75% refundable as long as you cancel 14 days prior to your check-in date. After that date, if you cancel you will be charged for your full stay.
