Only yards from the National Trust’s fairy tale castle in Bodiam, situated in a wooded glade on a farm between the River Rother and the steam railway, yet it is only a short walk to the local pub.

The Hub has been built to support guests staying @ The Original Hut Company, offering cafe style service from 9am 7 days a week. The Hub acts as a reception and is fitted with charging lockers for mobile phones and Wifi. There are a series of other businesses running from The Hub offering countless onsite activities in the various spaces on the farm from Bushcraft and Kayaking, SUP, Yoga, and archery to crafting workshops. Therapies and Treatments are also available in The Hub wellness hut.

Each hut has its own outside area with a picnic table and fire pit. Set in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we have 200 acres of farmland, Orchards and Ancient Woodland for our guests to enjoy offering unique habitis for an amazing variety of Wildlife, as well as being in a designated Dark Sky area enabling brilliant stargazing on a clear night . We are also blessed with nearly a mile of river frontage with course fishing rights during the open season.

The huts are designed to have minimal environmental impact, the huts are built on-site using primarily reclaimed and recycled products such as reclaimed caravan chassis, and old corn bins for the roofs. Timber for the worktops and seat covers is from sustainable woodland on the farm. Lights are powered by solar. Running the business on the farm has helped us fund various habitit improvement schemes which is reflected in the wildlife we enjoy seeing on the farm.

Local sustainably sourced Food and Drink supplies can be pre ordered from The Hub to save lugging produce to the site, we have found this works particularly well for guests traveling on public transport. We can also offer catering options which can be helpful for large groups. Ice is always available to buy on site. We supply Dutch ovens and griddle plates to enable cooking over the open fire logs are supplied within the price of your break, We do sell local sustainable charcoal.
