From the comfort of your cabin you can enjoy simple peace and quiet, tranquil views, lakeside walks and some of the best sunsets the county has to offer. There are no shops or pubs in the village, however, there are five pubs and a farm shop with cafe within a three-mile cycle or drive (walkable if you are happy to navigate foot paths and country roads).

Little Island retreat is off-grid, powered by solar and cooking facilities are in the form of a gas BBQ. On the island there is an eco-compost loo. Inside we provide recycling bins to minimise waste. Many of the cabin’s features are created from reclaimed wood from the farm, or are upcycled from vintage farm tools. The lake is set in Rookery Meadow, a wildflower meadow that encourages natural flora and fauna. The shower and utility area includes eco toiletries and washing up liquid.
The cabin is a short walk from the shower room, so we recommend bringing wellies and waterproof clothing in case of rain. Head torches and LED lanterns are provided. There are lots of cycling routes nearby and we can provide a secure area for bike storage. We can provide a welcome hamper and/or breakfast hamper at an additional cost, we recommend bringing your own food, drinks and snacks which can be stored in the fridge in the utility room or in the cool box in the glamping cabin.
