We have installed hand sanitiser stations at each entrance to the pub and the shower block. We are carefully monitoring the guidance as it is released and have already completed risk assessments and undertaken Covid secure in the workplace training. We will release details of current measures in place for when we reopen on our website.

Our hand built bespoke shepherds hut is perfect for either a romantic break or just a well needed escape from the bustle of daily life. Inside it is fully equipped with washroom, table and chairs, TV, underfloor heating and log burner. Our camping field is set well away from the road and is surrounded by countryside. There is plenty of parking and the pub serves meals daily including breakfast, is open every day, with a wood fired pizza oven and fish and chips to takeaway too.

The shepherds hut has its own washroom with sink and toilet. Our unisex showerblock is a short stroll away with heating, free hot water, wash up area, baby change facilities, ironing facilities, 2 loos and 2 showers. This serves just 15 pitches and the Shepherds Hut. The field is a great space for children and adults to mix and play games in the summer. There is plenty of on site parking and a space right next to the hut in the summer and on gravel a few yards away in the winter.

We compost all suitable kitchen and garden waste and use it to help grow fruit and vegetables for the pub kitchen. We have a recycling centre with seperate bins which is collected weekly. We use light sensors and low energy bulbs throughout the premises.

In the Shepherds Hut we provide all bedding, towels and dressing gowns and some basic toiletries. We also provide tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary water and beer for your arrival. You will need to bring any basic provisions but don't forget there is a lovely pub just a short stroll away and breakfast is supplied as part of the cost. We also have a wood fired pizza oven and fish and chip takeaway on site to takeaway so you can relax in your own space if you prefer.

We are in the heart of Somerset with access to many outdoor and indoor activity centres, walking from the pub is fabulous and there are many cycle routes close by too. The coast is about 40 minutes away and Ham Hill, Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantocks are all close by. There are plenty of market towns to explore and historic houses including Montacute House in the next village and beautiful gardens such as Tintinhull.
