Somerleaze is a glamping site located in South Somerset, close to Devon and Dorset borders. We offer a glamping experience in our two luxurious safari tents which are ideal for both groups and families alike. Our tents offer privacy and peace in a very tranquil and idyllic rural location. Each tent has its own access and a meadow surrounded by mature trees.
Our tents are fully equipped with all the essentials you need to have the ultimate get away. Hot and cold running water, shower, flush loo, kitchenette with fridge and hob plus a wood burner for chilly nights and a fire pit with a bbq. We provide very comfortable beds and beautiful linen with down duvets and pillows.
Our tents are not identical and are located about 50meters apart, separated by a hedge but connected by a small footbridge for those that are glamping together.
'Foxglove; sleeps 6 comfortably in one superking double plus 4 singles in 2 bunk beds.
'Dragonfly' sleeps 8 comfortably in one superking double plus 4 singles upstairs and 2 downstairs as a bunk bed.
Added extras include hotwater bottles, rugs and throws. We provide all the fire wood you need for your stay.
Our site has a small lake (with a rowing boat) and we have recently created a natural swimming area with a beach, which is a haven for wildlife. Our island has a hammock for extra relaxation.
On arrival you are met by either Rosey or Simon who personally take you down to your tent. Your receive a small welcome pack in your tent comprising of homemade bread, marmalade, eggs from the chickens and some butter and milk.
Somerleaze is easy to get to, just 10 minutes off the A303 Ilminster roundabout or 20 minutes from J25 M5.
Our tents have their own shower rooms and kitchenettes with their own facilities.
The tents are in their own fields so wellies and wet weather gear is always good to have. Nights can get chilly so warm clothes is a must even if it is for sitting around the fire pit.

We are on the edge of the Blackdown Hills which offers great walking/cycling and exploring. We are also 20 minutes from the Jurassic coast and all that the south coast has to offer. We have Exmoor, 40 minutes away and Dartmoor just over and hour....
During the mid and low season we have a minimum 2 night stay and during the high season offer a minimum 3 night stay. Foxglove is slightly cheaper than Dragonfly as it only sleeps 6 while Dragonfly sleeps up to 8.
