Description of Old Oaks
AA Campsite of the Year 2017/18, Old Oaks is a luxury touring park and glampsite catering for the over 18s market. We’re all about the peace, quiet & wildlife.
Set in the tranquil and unspoilt Somerset countryside, with beautiful panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and surrounding area, our touring park and glamping site is just 3 miles by car and 1.5 miles on foot from the unique and vibrant town of Glastonbury.
The park is set right away from the main road, in an idyllic rural spot surrounded by farm land and a myriad of footpaths, one of which leads directly to Glastonbury Tor.
Onsite you’ll find a fishing lake, small woodland walk, communal TV room with pool table and book exchange.
The shop offers all kinds of local treats, including our own beef, lamb and egg, plus lots of local ciders and ales.
Weekend cider and cheese tasting, 5 takeaway nights and wood-fired pizza night are just a few of the added extras.
If you like to get out and about on your holidays, you’re in for a real treat. There’s simply oodles of things to do and see, mostly within a 30 mile radius of the park.
Whether you like shopping, walking, cycling (free maps available), golf, churches, nature reserves, fishing (on site), museums, beaches, history, myth and legend or simply relaxing, it’s all close by.
Shepherd huts and cedar lodges are fully self-contained, however, there are many other facilities to use should you choose, including 9 luxury, private wet rooms, 2 laundries, washing up areas, communal fridge and freezers.
Choose from 3 types of glamping accommodation, all sleep 2 (all adult only).
