Description of Fordhall Farm Yurts
Spend a magical glamping holiday in our Shropshire-made yurts, privately situated on our 140 acre organic farm in North Shropshire’s Tern Valley.
We not only offer a landscape filled with wildlife and adventure, but as England’s first community owned farm, we have regular events and activities that can entertain the whole family (see website).
Our yurts are perfect for a romantic hideaway or a family adventure. Complete with beds, wood burner, gas BBQ, bed linen and even a kitchen sink.
At the right time of year there is also an edible garden including marigolds, mint, gooseberries and damsons.
Our two yurts are interconnected, providing the perfect getaway for up to six people.
One is used as the bedroom and the other the living space (only ever rented as one unit).
There is a solar powered cool box, but nowhere to plug in your hair straighteners or toothbrush!
Our yurts are insulated with sheep’s wool, have cotton sheets on the beds and decking to sit out and admire the views along the Tern Valley.
Plus the farm is a child’s playground.
Enjoy and feel part of nature with that little bit of extra comfort.
Plus you have the farm shop and Arthur’s Farm Kitchen not too far away for those essentials, such as a cooked breakfast, Sunday roast or pack of free range Gloucester Old Spot sausages!
Why not bring your telescope with you and watch the stars, or hire one of our bat detectors to listen to the calls as the bats fly overhead at night.
