Luxury glamping on a 100 acre farm within a nature reserve, with views to the front over Gartmorn Dam and to the back the Ochil Hills.
We are situated on our small 100 acre family farm looking out over a nature reserve with miles of walking, bike riding and bird watching straight from your lodge.
Dam View has three luxurious quintessential lodges, each sleeping 6 people.
The lodges are all kitted out for your arrival with fresh beds, towels and toiletries.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay with us, with all your cooking and kitchen utensils and pots, we have cool boxes for your use with more freezer packs available on request.
There is a wonderful wood burning stove, much like an Aga, that heats the whole tent on those chillier days and evenings whilst also being used to cook dinner.
There is a camping stove available for the mornings where you would like a cup of tea or coffee without starting the fire.
Outside we have a BBQ and fire pit to cook up a feast and of course roast marshmallows.
Unplug and relax, turn off your phones and pick up a book and enjoy the views from your lodge.
Enjoy a long walk around the dam, bring your bikes and spend time exploring the woods behind the lodge.
Or open the games chest in the tent and play board games, outdoors games and build dens.
Take a walk to the local farm shop for some well deserved cake, fresh bread and other supplies.
Although you may feel like we are in our own little bit of wilderness, we are only an hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh – perfectly situated for what ever you might like to do.
All our lodges have private facilities for your stay. There is an outdoor eating area, where you can BBQ or use the fire pit to roast some marshmallows. There are fields to run around in the grass, the woods behind you to build dens in, visit the Dam or take a long walk straight from your lodge. We have a hot tub with our Ivy Lodge only.
We are totally off grid at Dam View, we have re used and up cycled where we could in our lodges. Any food we sell in the lodges are all locally sourced as are the soaps in our lodges, we really support buying local and less food miles.
Our tents are stocked with almost everything that you might need, just bring bikes and walking gear and enjoy the countryside around us.
As we are so central there is an incredible amount to do locally and within the nature reserve. We supply a booklet of things to do in the local area after booking with us.
