Read moreThe site's wee honesty shop is a point of call for the things you may have forgotten. The nearest village shop is 2 miles away in Braco, but Dunblane at 4 miles has more stores. The site has ample parking for one car per Glamping unit in the shared car park. The Muckle Howf has its own private parking, again with ample space for up to three cars. The Muckle Howf has Wi-Fi and there is 4G but please appreciate the countryside's typically sporadic signal.
All accomodations have wood burning stoves, a gas cooker and a private outside fire with an initial supply of logs. The Wee Howf/ Ash Tree Howf/ Hobbit Howfs and Whisky Howf have private shower and toilet facilities. The Summer Howf's toilet and shower facilities are down the garden, these facilities are private to the Summer Howf if booked. Within the Wee Honesty shop you will find things you may have forgotten this is also home for the washing up area for the Summer Howf.
We are passionate about our recycling and do encourage all on site to follow the local guidelines we have. We have clearly marked recycling points to help you separate your waste. This year in particular we are really concentrating on reducing waste including food waste and we hope all our guests will support this. The Wee Howf/Tree Howf and both Hobbit Howfs have compost loos, but there is the option of using the shared facilities if this does not appeal to you.
Please bring with you a torch and suitable footwear to enable you to truly enjoy our slice of Scottish Heaven. To make the most of your stay remember to pack suitable clothes and footwear for all weather - even in lovely weather the grass can be very wet with dew. Indoor shoes or slippers are great for inside all our Howfs as there is a variety of floor covering from glorious flags to wonderful wood. A note of what not to bring - please avoid plastic and no need for bottled water!
Our surrounding areas offer a wide variety of walking, cycling and water activities. We do try to provide leaflet information and we are always somewhere to be found, so just ask for more personalised ideas for days out. With the Ochil hills on our doorstep, the Trossachs not far away and some of the best Perthshire has to offer you will definitely find lots of options to suit you.
