About Caledonian Glamping

Westward B&B would like to welcome you to our new glamping accommodation near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.

Our cosy eco huts are set within a wild-meadowed plot next to our B&B and offer a peaceful base from which to explore the treasures of the Scottish Highlands, including the spectacular National Nature Reserve of Glen Affric.

The huts are designed and built by Alistair using locally sourced timber, which is milled on site with our woodmizer sawmill.

Douglas Fir beams are used for the post & beam frame, whilst local larch is cut and used for cladding.

The huts are kitted out with a mini kitchen, an ensuite shower/toilet, 2 small single beds and heating.
Bedding and linen are provided.

Provisions can be purchased from a well stocked village shop just a 5 minute walk away.

An area for campfires and BBQs is available.

Located on the outskirts of the small, rural village of Cannich, we are close to ancient Caledonian pine forests, beautiful lochs and magnificent mountains.

There is plenty of opportunity to explore the great outdoors.

Loch Ness is a short drive away and the city of Inverness just 35 minutes.

The land around the huts is left as a wild meadow and an area has been set aside for BBQs or campfires. Each hut has its own deck where you can sit and relax after a busy day down the glens. Across the road there is a small wood running alongside a river, perfect for dog walking. Private parking is available next to each hut.

Each hut has 2 single beds and a sofa bed (or mattress) for a 3rd person. They have a hob, fridge, microwave, heater and an ensuite shower/toilet. Bedding and towels are provided.

We are members of the Green Tourism Scheme and are looking to develop the huts in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way. We use local produce where we can and encourage recycling as much as possible.

The mini kitchens are well equipped with utensils and crockery and a welcome tray of tea/coffee is provided on arrival. The village shop is just a 5 minute walk if you need to stock up. Bedding and towels are provided.

Notes about prices

Minumum stay 2 nights: We charge £65 per night for 2 sharing on a self catering basis throughout the season, except for new year. (1 night stay maybe available for a supplement - please contact us for details.)

Cancellation policy

We ask for a deposit on booking and then the balance on the day of arrival. Deposits are refundable if you cancel up to 2 weeks before the arrival date.
