On the ground floor of the castle (about 100m from the yurts), we have a kitchen, loo, wet room shower and common room/dining room for use by glamping guests. Whilst these are communal, they are only shared by two yurts (four people) We have a small honesty cafe and shop for our guests and also for walkers on the Cateran Trail which passes through Bamff. We stock tinned and dried goods and healthy snacks and drinks. Payment is through an honesty box in the cafe, please bring some change!
Our shared yurt facilities is heated by biomass boiler. The yurts are heated by wood-burning stove fuelled by sustainable wood. All units have solar powered lighting and phone charging points. The Hideaway has a composting loo and off-grid shower using rainwater harvested from the Hide roof pumped by solar power and fuelled by gas. All our water is from a spring on the hill above Bamff. The farm itself is an organic sheep farm. We also have a small single wind turbine on the hill.
We supply bedding towels and blankets, cooking utensils and crockery so you just need to bring food and drink, (there is a shared fridge in the yurt facilities and we even supply food storage boxes), the Hideaway has a cool box with cooling bricks that you can freeze in the shop freezer. Warm clothing in winter is essential and sturdy waterproof footwear is a must. Although we supply some torches it is a good idea to bring your own if you have them.

Price includes bedding and towels, initial supply of wood for stove.
A deposit equivalent to the first night's stay will be payable on booking. The deposit is returnable if you should cancel up to two weeks before your stay.
