An adults-only campsite offering cosy pod cabins with far reaching views and great access to the Peak District National Park.
Poplars Farm is a quiet, adults-only site with three glamping pods and room for 5 caravans/6 tents. Visitors love the far-reaching views.
The glamping pods have uninterrupted views over the Derbyshire Dales including Alport Heights, giving visitors a true sense of calm and peace.
The site is open all year and the fully- insulated and heated pods can provide a window on the Derbyshire Dales through the changing seasons.
The site has shared facilities: three toilets, two showers and a kitchen area with microwave, oven, toaster, washing machine and tumble drier. As the site is a small, exclusive one, facilities are never over-crowded.
Situated two miles from Carsington Water and five miles from Ashbourne and Belper towns and also being on a bus route, Poplars Farm is accessible to all.
The pods are within the ten acre site and the fields are not intensively farmed.
In Spring, you will see a wide variety of meadow flowers and wildlife abounds. The views in snowy weather are similarly stunning.
Further afield, visit Kedleston Hall, Matlock Bath, Bakewell And Buxton. One visitor commented, “There is so much to do in the area.”
Alternatively, just sit and relax over a barbecue or around the fire pit.
The site has 3 WCs and 2 showers, a kitchen with microwave, oven, toaster, washing machine and tumble drier. As the site rarely has more than 20 visitors staying in their own caravans and tents, these are not over crowded. We take pride in having a small, peaceful site where people can truly relax. These facilities are a short walk (20 metres).
In each of the three pods is a refrigerator, kettle, a TV and heater. For eating out, there are very good pubs in the village. For eating on site, there are barbecues by the pods and a microwave, oven and toaster in the shared kitchen. You could bring a camping stove if you want to cook outside your pod. In two of the pods, Willow and Ash, beds and bedding is provided in twin beds or a double bed. In Hazel, the dog - friendly pod, there is a double bed.
The owner does not have a video of their glamping site.
Carsington Water is a couple of miles away, providing water sports, walking, cycling, dining and much more. In the area, many visitors comment on how much there is to do, whether it be visiting historic buildings and sites, such as Cromford, Belper and Kedleston Hall, or visiting Peak District towns and villages or shopping and eating. There is also plenty to do under cover if the weather is inclement.
The prices include bedding for 2 adults in Willow, Ash or Hazel. Please specify twin or double in Ash and Willow. Double only in Hazel.
A non-refundable deposit of £40 is payable on booking with the balance on arrival.
