A glamping haven with luxurious tented safari lodges set in a stunning private location at the start of The Pennine Way in the Peak District.
Luxury family glamping tents for 6 on a stunning private farm at the foot of the Kinder Scout moorlands in the Peak District. Real beds, real bathroom, log burning and all you need for your stay.
The four safari tents are dotted around our farm, looking out onto sheep pasture with the heather moorland rising above.
We are located at the edge of Edale village, the official start of the Pennine Way, with its pubs, cafes and shops and the Peak District Visitor Centre. But once through our gates you are in peaceful privacy.
The tents each have three bedrooms (one double, two twins) with Hypnos mattresses, cotton sheets and warm duvets with wool blankets.
They have their own bathroom inside the tent with shower / bath, and an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room around the log burning range. We refill your logs each morning during your stay.
All around you is the stunning countryside of the Peak District, with not a house in sight.
You can access the moorland directly from the farm up a private track, wild swim in the brook, explore awesome mountain bike trails, take day trips, breathe in the views.
Then in the evening, wrap up around the fire under the lamplight and enjoy the Milky Way in our dark skies.
The farm is at the northern edge of Edale village, with its two pubs, two cafes, general store, visitor centre and weekend pizza oven in the spring/summer season. Wifi is available at the main lodge on site and reception is manned every week day, with on site help available at other times.
Our farm is part of the Moors for the Future partnership, regenerating mosses and vegetation on the peat bogs of Kinder Scout to enhance biodiversity, capture carbon and reduce flooding.
All of your bedding and cooking utensils are provided, as well as fuel for the wood stove and barbecue. All washing up necessities and first aid basics are in your tent. Just bring clothes, food, bikes and torches - and maybe some slippers for the evenings.
The owner does not have a video of their glamping site.
We are in the heart of the High Peak. All countryside is open access and on the moorland, just next to the farm, you can roam to your heart's content. This is a honeypot for hiking, cycling, climbing, canyoning, paragliding and wild swimming. Nearby you can book fishing, kayaking, caving or a swim in the Hathersage lido.
