Bell tents at a riverside setting in the private grounds of Swinford Manor Farm, only 4 miles from the city of Oxford.
Oxford Riverside Glamping is the ideal destination for a secluded and tranquil holiday, romantic weekend away, or as a base for exploration.
Situated within its own grounds, Oxford Riverside Glamping offers an alternative and truly rural escape.
You are provided with a luxurious and fully furnished bell tent, that can comfortably sleep 2 people (but with room for up to 4 at a small extra cost).
Electric heating is installed in each one of our bell tents. Hot water bottles and extra blankets are also provided for those cooler nights, but we do advise that you bring some warm clothes just in case!
With stunning countryside to enjoy, we are located directly on the Thames Path, with beautiful riverside walks, fishing in season and birdwatching.
Opposite lies Wytham Woods, an area of ancient woodland as well as a site of special scientific interest.
Outside the main gate is a direct and frequent bus route to the centre of Oxford, the ‘city of dreaming spires’. The world-famous university is only 10-15 minutes away.
Within walking distance is Farmoor Reservoir, which boasts year round sailing and windsurfing as well as a wealth of wildlife to enjoy. Day passes are also available for trout fishing.
Attractions nearby also include Blenheim Palace, the Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon and Bicester Village. London, Bath and Stonehenge are also within easy travelling distance.
There are several public houses, restaurants and local shopping all within walking distance of the house.

Just a short walk from each tent, there are ladies and gents toilet and shower facilities, as well as an external wash-up area. There is also a covered cooking area with three gas-powered ovens (just in case weather conditions mean that you are unable to use your fire pit), communal fridges, a microwave and toaster. If you would like to charge devices such as mobile phones and iPads, there is the means to do so inside your tent. Parking is free.
We also recommend you bring the following for your stay: Toothbrush and bathroom essentials, bedding for the two provided camp beds should you require them (the central double bed is equipped with full bedding) and a good book! Everything you should need for cooking and dining (cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils) as well as lighting a fire and barbecuing (logs, charcoal, lighter fluid, lighter and matches) are all provided for you either in your tent or elsewhere on site.
Prices quoted are based on two people sharing, see our extras for additional pricing. Our pricing for extra adults and children is seasonal and may differ depending on the time of year. If your check in date is more than two weeks from the date that payment is requested, a deposit of 20% will be required in order to confirm your booking.
Bookings must be secured by a non-refundable deposit of 20% with the balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to your stay. If full payment has been made and you decide to cancel within 14 days of the start of your holiday, full rental charges will apply unless we can re-let the dates booked or we may be able to transfer your payment to a later date.
