About Bozedown Boltholes

Family-friendly, dog-friendly safari tent: 2 king-size beds, one single bunk bed, space for a cot (by prior arrangement). Exclusive use of site - so great for couples/adults only too.

New in 2020. As guests in our sole safari tent, you will have exclusive use of the glamping site, having just over an acre to yourselves on our 18 acre site. You will have fabulous views out over the Thames River Valley from our site on the edge of the Chiltern Hills.

There is a wide range of things to do in the area including walking, cycling, paddle boarding or shooting. Indulge in your urge for camping, but with all the luxuries of home!

This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly safari tent sleeping up to 5. There are 2 bedrooms, each having a king-sized bed, one is a four-poster while the other has a single bunk bed overhead. A travel cot can be provided for babies/toddlers. Therefore the unit can sleep 5 adults/children with the option of a baby/toddler in addition.

Dogs are permitted on site but there is only room for one dog. If a travel cot is required, or you wish to bring a dog, this must be specified in your booking - additional fees apply. A dog bed and food/water bowls are provided but your dog may be happier if you bring a blanket as it can get a little chilly in the tent for dogs used to sleeping indoors!

All bedding is provided - if you have a toddler that prefers a grow-bag, please bring your own and we'll provide a sheet for the mattress.

Kitchen/cooking facilities: 4-ring induction hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment), pans, utensils, teapot, cafetière, crockery, cutlery, mugs and glasses. There is also a campfire with grill and tripod/firebowl for outside cooking.

Bathroom facilities are available inside the tent: rain shower with handheld power shower, basin and toilet (incinerator toilet as an eco-friendly remote site option!). We provide the usual toiletries and towels.

A wood burning stove provides heating for cool nights. You will be provided with a generous basket of wood, kindling and firelighters as well as wood for the campfire. Additional wood can be purchased during your stay.

Both indoor and outdoor cooking areas including a campfire with grill as well as a tripod and cooking bowl. Separate covered seating area close to the campfire: this area includes a food preparation area and all your BBQ tools. An incredible hide to watch out for the local wildlife. Hammock in the trees. Wood-burning stove. Covered verandah with seating and table/chairs.

Minimum 2 night stay. Arrivals Monday to Friday (other days considered by request).

Cancellation policy

Where cancellation notice is received after the deposit has been paid and before the final balance if due, the Client is still liable to pay the final balance on the due date, unless Bozedown Boltholes have successfully re-sold the holiday dates. If you cancel your booking after paying the final balance, we cannot refund your booking.
