Set in the midst of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Catgill Farm is a family run farm that offers camping and luxury glamping. With incredible views and plenty of things to do nearby, Catgill has become a firm favourite featuring in The Telegraph newspaper as one of “Britain’s Top 5 Coolest Campsites”. They have 6 luxury timber pods and two magical bell tents which both include private log fuelled hot tubs.
The timber pods are much bigger than the majority of glamping pods and are completely bespoke. They are fully insulated, have central heating, and are of an extremely high standard. The facilities and equipment within are just as good, if not better than those you’ll find in some of the best holiday cottages. One pod can sleep up to 6 people comfortably. They include a fully equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, WiFi, TV with Netflix, sofa, dining table and cabin style bunk beds that the kids will adore.
For those that prefer and under canvas experience there are 2 giant luxury bell tents which are fitted out to the highest standard and share their own private toilet and shower. From cooking equipment to fairy lights and hot water bottles, these bell tents have everything you need. Featuring a log burner, heater, a large driftwood bed and futons for the kids, they can sleep up to 4 people. They even have a sink with running water, electric and wifi! This is glamping at its finest, all the joys of camping with all your creature comforts thrown in, creating a happy and relaxed atmosphere for the whole family.
One of the many benefits of staying at Catgill is that it is close to so many local attractions so there is no need to use your car. Hesketh Farm Park is a 2 minute walk and the famous Bolton Abbey is a 10 minute walk away. Both amazing days out with plenty to keep both kids and grownups occupied. The “Dev” pub is a 10 minute walk across the fields and serves good food and local ales. Billy Bob’s American Diner is definitely worth a visit.
Catgill has been in the family for 65 years and the reception is located in the farmhouse where guests are encouraged to call in for information or just for a friendly chat with the super friendly owners. You will find a small onsite shop for any basic essentials that you may have forgotten and for camping treats such as marshmallows for toasting or corn for popping. A morning coffee shop is open from 7:30 until 9:30 (high season only) serving barista style coffee and freshly baked pastries.

There is loads to do for kids in Bolton Abbey: The stepping stones, the Welly walk, pirate ship, pop up beach, family cycle route. A walkers paradise, walks for all ages and abilities, we are within a mile of the Dalesway footpath. Close to cycling routes including the Tour de France route and Tour de Yorkshire routes. There is also plenty of off road biking nearby.

Everything is provided including bedding, towels and kitchen equipment. All 3 pods are fitted with a small fully equipped kitchen comprising a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. They have a double bed, 2 single bunk beds and a sofa bed. The integrated shower room has a walk in shower, hand basin and toilet. They are fully insulated and have central heating for chilly nights. Outside there is a large private patio with hot tub, fire pit with built in pizza oven and large picnic table.

The 2 Bell tents have been uniquely furnished and accessorised with a double bed, duvet, pillows, cushions and throws. A small sink with fresh drinking water is provided and each tent can sleep up to a family of 4 with futons for the kids. Outside the generous patio features a private hot tub, fire pit with built in pizza oven and large picnic table Shared shower and toilet pod.
