Located in the heart of Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales, we have fully equipped bell tents and timber pods set in a stunning location on the woodland edge.
The farm is set in an idyllic location offering a unique overnight glamping experience on the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Estate.
Our timber pods are fully equipped with everything you need. Each pod is the same size and specification and sleeps up to 6 people. They each have their own unique woodland scheme. All 3 pods are fitted with a small fully equipped kitchen comprising a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge.
They have a double bed, 2 single bunk beds and a sofa bed. The integrated shower room has a walk in shower, hand basin and toilet.
They are fully insulated and have central heating for chilly winter nights.
The bell tents have been creatively furnished and accessorised and each tent can sleep a family of 4, there are futons for the kids. The 2 bell tents have a shared shower and toilet cabin.
Both the timber pods and bell tents are well equipped for luxury outdoor living.
Each has a log-fuelled hot tub, 2 comfy chairs, a large picnic table and a fire pit with built in pizza oven.
The farm is a natural playground for kids, they will love exploring the surrounding woodland, playing games and making friends.
Our morning coffee shop sells barista made coffee and freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate and our small onsite shop situated in our new reception area is perfect for basic essentials that you may have forgotten.
We also offer meat packs, breakfast packs and celebration packs.
One of the many benefits of staying here at Catgill is that we are close to so many local attractions so there is no need to use your car during your stay.
Hesketh Farm Park is a 2 minute walk from our doorstep and the famous Bolton Abbey is a 10 minute walk away. Both amazing days out with plenty to keep both kids and grownups occupied.
Catgill has been our family home for 60 years, our office and reception are located in the farmhouse and we always encourage our guests to call in for information or just for a friendly chat. We also have a small onsite shop for any basic essentials that you may have forgotten and for camping treats such as marshmallows for toasting or corn for popping. Our morning coffee shop is open from 7:30 until 9:30 (weekends only in the low season) serving barista style coffee and freshly baked pastries.
The timber pods and bell tents are equipped with everything you need for the perfect getaway. The pods have a fully equipped kitchen, walk in shower room and central heating for chilly nights. The 2 bell tents have a log burner which can be used for heating and cooking. They have a shared toilet and shower cabin with outdoor wash up facility. Outside both pods and bell tents there is a large private patio with a hot tub, fire pit with built in pizza oven and large picnic table and chairs.

The 4 most popular attractions nearby are: Bolton Abbey, Hesketh Farm Park, Billy Bob’s Diner and the Bolton Abbey steam railway. There is loads to do for kids in Bolton Abbey: The stepping stones, the Welly walk, pirate ship, pop up beach, family cycle route. A walkers paradise, walks for all ages and abilities, we are within a mile of the Dalesway footpath. Close to cycling routes including the Tour de France route and Tour de Yorkshire routes. There is also plenty of off road biking nearby.
There is a minimum stay of 2 nights in all our Glamping accommodation with a 3 night minimum for bank holidays.
No refunds will be given within 28 days of arrival time. There will be no refunds given for early departure for any reason whatsoever.
