Description of Valley Yurts
Valley Yurts is a 10 acre glamping site with 4 traditional 18″ Kyrgz yurts, in a valley with 360 degree views of the Welsh countryside situated on the border of England and Wales, close to the Offa’s Dyke Path with so many beautiful places to walk and visit.
The nearest market town is Kington.
It can easily be reached by a short car journey or a stunning walk over Hergest Ridge from the bottom of our lane right into the centre of Kington.
The famous town of Hay on Wye is only a short drive away and there are plenty of other lovely places to visit while you are here.
Each yurt has its own private outdoor cooking area with fire pit.
We provide simple recipes for those unfamiliar with outdoor cooking but it’s just as fun to experiment with your own favourites.
Twice a week we fire up the pizza oven and you can create your own home cooked pizzas with fresh ingredients and homemade dough provided by us.
We are surrounded by sheep who occasionally pop into the field to say hello and hens permitting we offer fresh eggs from our chickens.
There are 10 acres for you to enjoy, so plenty of space to explore, play and relax with panoramic views of the beautiful Welsh countryside.

Valley Yurts are crafted from sustainable ash, hand made in Totnes in Devon.
Our traditional Kyrgz yurts are a spacious 18’ diameter with a stunning crown in the centre to stargaze at night. The Kyrgyz yurt differs from Mongolian designs in the way the woodwork is steam bent to produce a curved, rounded roof shape that offers more headroom so that you can move around comfortably inside your yurt.
Each yurt has a woodburning stove.
