On site there is also a shop and the cosy Brotherswater Inn serving great local ales and food.

Offering a superb base for exploring both the Lake District and Cumbria the Brotherwater site really does have it all.
Leave the car or explore further afield it makes the perfect base for a variety of activities and excursions.
Whether it’s a full days hike up Fairfield, a stroll around Brotherswater, a picnic, swim or trip on the Ulswater Steamers or simply just sitting back outside the Yurt enjoying the view, there is lots to do for one and all.
Whatever you decide there will be a fine local ale waiting for you to enjoy next to the open fire in the Brotherswater Inn upon your return.
A stones throw from the site is Glenridding, Patterdale, Pooley Bridge and the stunning Ulswater.
Climb the famous striding edge to the top of Helvellyn, visit Aira Force or enjoy an afternoon tea in one of the many cafes, there is so much to see and do without ever leaving the valley.
Further afield and over the Kirkstone pass lies Ambleside and access to the southern Lakes.
