Lakes Yurts is situated at the end of a beautiful Lake District valley in Seathwaite, Borrowdale.

Sited at the end of a short gravel track beside a traditional working fell farm our yurts guests enjoy a quiet field location with parking.

Surrounded by stunning landscapes at the foot of Great Gable, Scafell Pike and many more well loved fells, you can begin your walks as soon as you step out of the door.

Alternatively, being only a 20 minute drive from Keswick, the yurts are ideally situated for easy access to a host of activities, local sights and towns that despite being hit by flooding over the winter months, are all now very much 'open for business'.

For a camping experience with a little luxury attached, each yurt offers comfortable and cosy camping accommodation, being fitted out with bed settees, kitchenette and that all important wood burning stove to ward off cool evenings after a full day of activities.

We have a solar panel on each of the yurts which powers a lamp inside the yurts. We have a Eco toilet block fitted with composting toilets. One private toilet for each yurt.

You shall need what ever food and drink you shall require including bottled water. You shall also need towels and pound coins for the showers. Showers are a pound a time. Also clothes and footwear suitable for all weathers.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation By You: We understand that circumstances change and emergencies occur. If a booking is cancelled before the 6 weeks prior to arrival the deposit will be refunded minus a 25% admin fee. Deposits will not be returned for cancellations within the 6 weeks prior to arrival.
