Description of Howgills Hideaway

Fall in love with the sanctuary that is Howgills Hideaway, a gorgeous glamping retreat tucked away in Cumbria’s idyllic Howgills Fells.

Howgills Hideaway lies in a special place nestled on the edge of both the Yorkshire dales and The Lake District making it a great place to explore the outstanding beauty of both National parks.

Relax and recharge in one of our three cosy glamping pods whilst admiring the breathtaking views from your own private decking or why not make yourself at home in one of our spacious static caravans or even glamp it up in our cosy 5m bell tent with wood burning stove.

The pods sleep up to 4 in a full sized double a bed (bedding included) and a small double sofa bed (extra bedding can be hired).

Each pod has its own fully equipped kitchenette with hob, microwave, sink, fridge, kettle & toaster, plus pots, pans & crockery.

Our 5m bell tent is set in a quiet corner of the campsite and sleeps 4 in a double and 2 single beds. It has its own woodburning stove and its own fully equipped camp kitchen.

The glamping pods and bell tent share the use of a timber-clad shower and toilet block, complete with two family bathrooms (with a shower, toilet and basin in each), and two additional toilets.

Our 2 centrally heated static caravans are set in their own private gardens and sleep up to 6 in a double bedroom, a twin room and a double sofa bed.

They have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with magnificent views across the open countryside.

All our accommodation have outside seating areas firepits with BBQs available to hire

Our fully insulated and heated timber pods have a full size double bed and a small double sofa bed sleeping 4 in total. (Bedding is included for the double bed only – extra bedding can be hired if required).

Each pod has its own cute kitchen with sink (cold water only), electric hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. We provide all your cutlery, crockery, glasses, pans etc.

Outside is your own private decking with table and chairs and each pod has its own firepit.

Other Accommodation at Howgills Hideaway

From May until early September we have a 5m canvas bell tent that can sleep up to 4 in a double and 2 single beds. It comes complete with a woodburning stove to keep cosy and your own fully equipped camp kitchen and of course lots of bunting and fairy lights !
