Howgills Hideaway lies in a special place nestled on the edge of both the Yorkshire dales and The Lake District making it a great place to explore the outstanding beauty of both National parks.
Relax and recharge in one of our three cosy glamping pods whilst admiring the breathtaking views from your own private decking or why not make yourself at home in one of our spacious static caravans or even glamp it up in our cosy 5m bell tent with wood burning stove.
The pods sleep up to 4 in a full sized double a bed (bedding included) and a small double sofa bed (extra bedding can be hired).
Each pod has its own fully equipped kitchenette with hob, microwave, sink, fridge, kettle & toaster, plus pots, pans & crockery.
Our 5m bell tent is set in a quiet corner of the campsite and sleeps 4 in a double and 2 single beds. It has its own electric supply with cosy heater, fairy lights & bunting! Outside it has its own fully equipped camp kitchen, seating and firepit.
The glamping pods and bell tent share the use of a timber-clad shower and toilet block, complete with two family bathrooms (with a shower, toilet and basin in each), and two additional toilets.
Our 2 centrally heated static caravans are set in their own private gardens and sleep up to 6 in a double bedroom, a twin room and a double sofa bed.
They have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with magnificent views across the open countryside.
All our accommodation have outside seating areas firepits with BBQs available to hire.
There is a large open field with plenty of space for children ( and adults!) to run around, plus a large enclosed Springfree trampoline. We has a small selection of outdoor games available for your use ( cricket set, rounders, football, giant Jenga etc) Our shop is a small honesty shop supplying the basics - milk, eggs, drinks, crisps, snacks & ice creams.
The pods and bell tents share a toilet and shower block with 2 full bathrooms with showers and 2 separate toilets with washbasin. There is a small honesty shop onsite where we sell our own free range eggs, milk, home baking, drinks, crisps and snacks. We also provide a range of guide books and walk information. BBQs and firepit supplies are also available from the honesty shop. There is a large open field in front of the pods with a large trampoline.There is also a box of outside toys.
Bedding is included for up to 4 people in the caravans and for the double bed in the pods and bell tent. Additional bedding can be hired. Towels are not included in the rate but can be hired.

From May until early September we have a 5m canvas bell tent that can sleep up to 4 in a double and 2 single beds. It comes complete with an electric fire to keep cosy and your own fully equipped camp kitchen and of course lots of bunting and fairy lights !
