Fall in love with the sanctuary that is Howgills Hideaway, a gorgeous glamping retreat tucked away in Cumbria’s idyllic Howgills Fells.

Howgills Hideaway lies in a special place nestled on the edge of both the Yorkshire dales and The Lake District making it a great place to explore the outstanding beauty of both National parks.

Relax and recharge in one of our luxury accommodations, whilst admiring the breath-taking views from your own private decking, outdoor bath or wood fired sauna.

New for 2024 is 'Orchard Cabin', our largest, en-suite unit with a king sized bed, double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, secluded, covered outdoor bath and a wood fired sauna with panoramic views of the fells.

Our en-suite pod, 'Ellergill' has a double bed, full sized double sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Outside is a secluded, covered double ended bath tub overlooking open countryside. For alfresco dining you have your own firepit with swing over BBQ grill and gas pizza oven.

Our standard pods sleep are ideal for 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults in a double bed (bedding included) and a small double sofa bed (extra bedding can be hired). There is a fully equipped kitchenette, small dining area, TV with DVD player. Outside is your own decking, patio, seating and firepit with swing-over BBQ grill,
The standard pods pods share the use of a timber-clad shower and toilet block, complete with two family bathrooms (with a shower, toilet and basin in each), and two additional toilets.

Our 5m bell tent is set in a quiet corner of the campsite and sleeps 4 in a double and 2 single beds. It has its own electric supply with cosy heater, fairy lights & bunting! Outside it has its own fully equipped camp kitchen, toilet, shower, secluded outdoor bath tub, seating and firepit with BBQ grill.

Our centrally heated static caravan is set in its own private garden, with amazing views over open countryside. It sleeps up to 6 in a double bedroom, a twin room and a double sofa bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and outside you have your own patio, firepit and BBQ.

There is a large open field with plenty of space for children ( and adults!) to run around, plus a large enclosed Springfree trampoline. We has a small selection of outdoor games available for your use ( cricket set, rounders, football, giant Jenga etc) Our shop is a small honesty shop supplying the basics - milk, eggs, drinks, crisps, snacks & ice creams.

The pods and bell tents share a toilet and shower block with 2 full bathrooms with showers and 2 separate toilets with washbasin. There is a small honesty shop onsite where we sell our own free range eggs, milk, home baking, drinks, crisps and snacks. We also provide a range of guide books and walk information. BBQs and firepit supplies are also available from the honesty shop. There is a large open field in front of the pods with a large trampoline.There is also a box of outside toys.

Bedding is included for up to 4 people in the caravans and for the double bed in the pods and bell tent. Additional bedding can be hired. Towels are not included in the rate but can be hired.
