Unique glamping experience in the Lake District with stunning mountain views, surrounded by beautiful countryside on a family run farm.

Solid, safe and secure, our range of Octolodges at Abbots Reading Farm are situated in the tranquil Rusland Valley in the South Lakes area of Cumbria.

Each lodge has it's own decked balcony that includes a table and chairs. The lodges are sited to enjoy spectacular views of the Rusland Valley over to the Coniston mountains.

There is a designated barbecue area outside each Octolodge.

The lodges feature heating, memory foam matresses and storage.

There are power points and each lodge includes a fridge, microwave, kettle and TV.

Abbots Reading Farm is a traditional, family run farm that has pedigree Beef Shorthorn cattle, a fold of Highland cattle and a flock Herdwick sheep and free range hens.

We are situated in a very beautiful area that is rich in a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Ideally situated for walkers and mountain bikers, Grizedale Forest is just six miles away.

We are situated in the South Lakes area which offers an abundance of fantastic places and attractions to visit, some of these include The South Lakes Safari Zoo, Windermere Lakes Cruises, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway, Aquarium of the Lakes, Brockhole Visitors Centre, Grizdale Forest, World of Beatrix Potter, Lakeland Motor Museum, Conishead Priory and many more.

Our surrounding area includes Ulverston, Kendal, Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere, Hawkshead, Ambleside and Cartmel.

Notes about prices

Our prices remain the same throughout the season. The 2/3 berth octolodge is £50.00 per night which includes 3 single beds, one of which is a flip up bunk bed for the under 12's. The 4 berth is £65.00 per night. The 5 berth octolodge is £70.00 per night. There is a minimum of a 2 night stay.
