Description of Top of the Rock
The Top of the Rock Pod Páirc and Walking Centre in County Cork is an ancient meeting place now brought back to life with our seven camping pods and modern walking centre.
We are the third generation of Rosses to live here at the Top of the Rock.
We look out on an ever-changing vista of mountain, cloud and sunshine.
Our grandparents old farmyard has come alive again with the sound of families taking time to be together.
Our Pod Páirc is a safe and homely place for your family glamping holiday or weekend away.
It is also a perfect venue for couples with miles of walkways and river banks to wander along.
Larger walking groups also come to avail of our group rates and wonderful facilities. Often people just come solo to take time out on their own.
For the adventure enthusiast, there is walking, cycling and cross country running in the challenging landscape around us.
Our working cattle farm with its sheep, hens and ducks is a hive of interest for young and old alike. You will enjoy meeting our dog “Daisy”.
Pods are new to Ireland, and our Pod Páirc is the first of its kind in Ireland.
We have seven pods, with different levels of comfort and space to suit your particular needs. Pods really resonate with our landscape as you can see from our photos!
They provide a clean, comfortable and cost-effective break where you can be as close to the elements as possible while still enjoying the comforts of heat, light and a comfortable bed.
Our washroom facilities, kitchens, laundry and games room are built to a high standard.
Our large communal area commands magnificent views over the hills and valleys and is a perfect place to eat and relax.
