Each yurt has its own kitchenette with gas rings & a good range of kitchen utensils, perfect for making tea or coffee & heating food. Each yurt has a Kadai which can be used as a BBQ for outdoor cooking. Charcoal & kindling are provided, alongside BBQ tools, a tripod, hanging bowl & an outdoor kettle. On the lower stand, the Kadai makes a makes a lovely fire pit to sit around during the evening. We have a clay pizza oven which can be hired for use on the large fire pit in the communal shelte
We are committed to ensuring our guests ’tread lightly’ on the natural environment. We have reused/ repurposed/ recycled when developing our site. The accommodation is ‘off grid’, with some solar lighting. There is mains electricity in communal areas, with lights activated by movement sensors. Water comes from a borehole on site, with hot water supplied to the showers. Waste is recycled and composted. Even ‘human waste’ is composted in our toilets! We use plant-based cleaning products.
In our yurts, duvets, pillows and blankets are all provided. Bring your own duvet cover, sheet and pillow cases. Full bedding is provided in our railway wagon. You don't need to being any bedding!

The local area is perfect for walking, running and cycling. From our campsite you can access the Offa’s Dyke path that roughly follows the current border between England and Wales. There are many local footpaths accessible from your yurt door, including the spectacular ‘Cat’s back’ ridge visible from the campsite. We are ideally situated to explore the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and to enjoy sightseeing in the nearby towns of Hay on Wye, Abergavenny and Hereford.
All prices shown are for one adult. Bookings for Holly Yurt and Hazel Yurt are for a minimum of two nights.
