A lovingly converted 1960s Bedford coach located in a truly idyllic setting near Hay-on-Wye in the Welsh Borders.
As featured on the very first episode of the Channel 4 show ‘Amazing Spaces.
The Majestic Bus offers a wonderful space to relax and unwind in its own private setting in the Radnorshire Hills close to the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye.
The bus has been lovingly transformed into a bright and warm glamping space which can house up to 4 guests with extra purpose built areas just outside the bus where extra guests can pitch tents.
In the front of the bus you can sit and eat within a bespoke fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge and gorgeous oak worktops.
Further back is a cosy seating area with a woodburner and a sofa which readily converts to a double bed and then at the rear you have the main sleeping area with a comfy double bed.
It’s the perfect place to enjoy and explore the outstanding natural beauty or this unspoilt area of the UK – the bus itself was designed to take in some great views of the immediate hillside location and the famous Offas Dyke footpath is only a couple of fields away.
Further afield the town of Hay-on-Wye is only about 5 miles away and offers a whole host of restaurants, cafes, pubs, galleries, independent cinema, its own private beach on the banks of the River Wye and of course a myriad of secondhand bookshops.
All kinds of outdoor pursuits are close at hand including hiking, cycling, canoeing, pony-trekking, tennis and the awesome Brecon Beacons are just half an hour away.
The bus has a well thought-out dining/kitchen area with hand-built units, oak worktops, a gas cooker & a fridge. At the back is a cosy double bed & a wood-burning stove placed on an old flagstone. An L-shaped sofa seat folds into a further double bed. Outside is a decked area on two levels, a fire-pit on which you can cook in the open air. A few metres away lies a purpose built wooden bath house, containing a flush toilet and a luxurious roll-top bath with shower above.
The decked area outside the bus is arranged on two levels, a fire-pit on which you can cook in the open air and two level platforms. These can act as tent-pitch areas, able to accommodate up to a further four guests if your party is larger, or which could be used simply as places to relax, take in the view or enjoy a picnic.
