About The Dome Garden

The Dome Garden is a small, peaceful eco village and BnB just north of Bristol. There are 5 self-catering domes with en-suites, six lovely rooms inside the Lodge and an amazing treehouse.

The Dome Garden is a mixed group of luxurious, ecologically sound, geodesic domes, BnB rooms and stunning treehouses set in a peaceful garden in the heart of Gloucestershire’s ancient Forest of Dean.

The eco-domes are spacious, self-contained units, up to 20ft in diameter, set on their own timber decks with a small forest kitchen shelter and everything you need for a cool glamping extravaganza.

Inside, there are wood burning stoves, proper beds made up with lovely crisp white linen and a private ensuite with flushing loo and a shower or, in a few cases, a bath.

Hot water comes from a little wood burning boiler and is stored in recycled barrels above each shower.

The Treehouse is a sumptuous, self-contained hideaway 20ft up in the trees with beautiful views right into the canopy of the forest next door. It is still under construction and due to be finished before the May Bank Holiday, it's designed for two people for the ultimate break - but it does have have room for four plus a small one. The main bedroom looks straight out into the forest, there’s an outdoor shower, a galley kitchen, a sun deck on the roof, and eventually a roof top open bedroom for sleeping out under the stars. Down at ground level a sumptuous private spa is set amidst a wildlife water feature with a sauna, a steam room and an outdoor ice cold plunge pool for the aficionados!

Off-site there is a host of activities just around the corner.

Right next door is the Sallowvallets off-road mountain biking area. 20 miles of tracks of different grades from family circuits to adrenalin pumping downhill single tracks – and beyond that 35 square miles of ancient forest leading down to the River Wye.

So, there’s loads to do and tons to see ; hiking, biking and canoeing for the active, with caves and castles, trains and teashops for everyone else.

Hopefully not too much - just a spirit of adventure and a sense of humour! Everything is provided for a great self-catering break - although we are still doing our famous pizza nights on Saturday nights.. Don't forget your bikes, to go adventuring on amazing trails for every level. On chilly weekends bring warm clothes, wellies and, if you feel the cold, the odd blanket might help.

The Forest of Dean is jammed full of opportunities for outdoor activities with everything from hiking, and biking, to caving, climbing and canoeing. Explore ancient foundries or working mines.
