A family-run and very well-maintained site, at Kingfisher Lakes guests feel welcomed, looked after and at home immediately after they arrive. Off a country lane, the site provides endless options for walks, bike rides, kayaking, fishing or just simply watching the wildlife on the lakes and the stunning sunset over the fields. Most guests hire a 2-seater kayak for exploring during their stay. Firepits are available to hire too, with unlimited logs for cosy evenings toasting marshmallows, which is a must!
If you can pull yourselves (and the kids!) away from your cosy canvas base then within 15-30 minutes' drive are a number of stunning East Yorkshire beaches (Hornsea, Fraisthorpe, Bridlington) and the jaw-dropping dramatic coastline Flamborough Head with it's many coves, rockpools and nature reserves, also with the pretty market town of Beverley; there is something for everyone!
Glamping tent accommodation includes four safari tents (sleeping between 4-10 people) and two yurts (sleeping 2-4 people), all with proper beds, cosy bedding, blankets, cushions, log-burning stoves, sofas, fridges & kettles, as well as picnic tables and benches right outside with your BBQ. Just a short walk from your tent are the underfloor-heated washrooms with amazing showers (heated by one of the lakes with a lakebed, ground-source system) and a spacious kitchen/picnic barn area for all your camp cooking needs. All pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided in a box for each tent.
Two secluded Log Cabins for 2 people in the perfect hideaway nestle in trees right over the water's edge; the ideal place for a romantic break away for anniversaries, birthdays or just-because. The cabins have a kingsize bed, en-suite shower room and a small kitchen area. Outside is a private log-fired, Scandi-style hot tub for the two of you to relax in, immersing yourselves in the peace and tranquility.
