A very small, and quiet, family run campsite with 6 Camping pitches, two Glamping units and B&B giving lots of space, privacy and places to explore.
Positioned in the High Weald AONB we are between the sea and South Downs National Park, and Pooh Bears Ashdown Forest, with the amazing traffic free Cuckoo trail cycle path linking us to the coast.
Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and Lewes provide great days out , and we are surrounded by Castles and National Trusts.
Our top family day out is at Herstmonceux Science centre in the old observatory grounds where interactive displays and friendly staff will ensure you all have fun.
On site we can offer cycle hire, fishing experience or even pottery throwing on a kick wheel, if you are looking for new experiences.
The Shepherds hut is ideal for couples or families and comes fully equipped with full cooker, stove, made up double and bunk beds, internal shower and outside eco loo.
Outside there is a firepit, BBQ. picnic table, bistro table and sun chairs, and plenty of space if you want to pitch a tent as well.
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and food basics. A fresh welcome pack can be purchased.
The Higler hut is for adults only and has a French double bed, Chilly Billy wood stove, comfy seats and simple kitchenette.
Outside there is a gas BBQ, fire pit and grid, picnic bench, sun chairs. There is a covered kitchen area, slightly alfresco hot shower, and dry toilet.
The hut is lined with perfumed cedar wood , and has a unique eclectic upcycled interior, for you to enjoy.
Both the Glamping units are fully self contained and none of the facilities are shared.
Both the Glamping units are well equipped with all the basics you will need apart from towels. The shepherds hut with 4 people has limited storage space, so bring soft bags and no need to pack the kitchen sink!

Family fishing with instruction and equipment is enjoyed by all, and gets quite competitive at times! with almost a guaranteed catch its a numbers game! Cycling here is great with the traffic free cuckoo trail (Sustrans Route 21, 2) less than a mile away you have safe cycling to Heathfield for shopping (5 miles) or to Eastbourne 915 miles) to dip your feet in the sea, and beyond to Hastings if you are a regular.
low season prices apply March -May 31 and September 23- Nov 10 excluding bank holiday weekends and school holiday weekends. Dogs only by prior agreement.

An amazing fully self contained hut for 2 adults and two children, with internal hot shower, double and bunk beds, oven and grill, wood stove, dining table and seats. Outside the is a bistro table on the veranda, picnic table, fire pit , BBQ, easy chairs and sun shade. Positioned in a flower meadow with lots of space all around. Well behaved small non moulting dogs may be allowed with prior agreement.

A really comfortable hut for two Adults set well away from the rest of the site. Inside there is a Comfy French bed, easy chairs, wood burner and simple kitchenette. Outside there is a hot shower, dry toilet, gas BBQ, covered kitchen area, picnic table, easy chairs and a firepit. There is a large lawn surrounding the hut-you can even play croquet on it! Small well behaved non moulting dogs may be allowed subject to prior agreement
