Luxury adult only treehouses in a beautiful woodland setting. Three RIBA award winning treehouses 10 miles from the Jurassic coast.

Mallinson's Woodland Retreat were pioneers in the glamping movement and Guy Mallinson continues to design and build innovative luxury treehouses in the woods in deepest West Dorset. This magical woodland camp is in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Jurassic coast just 10 miles inland from Lyme Regis and Bridport.

The 3 treehouses are spread out in the woods in their own clearings offering peace tranquility and privacy whilst being emerged in nature.

There are no shared facilities & guest self check in without contact with others.

There is mains drinking water in all spaces. There is a no noise policy on site so that everyone can enjoy some peaceful tree bathing.

The Woodsman's treehouse takes things to another level and is designed for special occasions. The treehouse is self contained with its own kitchen, loo & copper bath inside. Outside there is a private pizza oven, outside tree shower, hammock and un the upper spa deck there is a hot tub and sauna. The treehouse has been featured on Grand Designs and George Clarkes Amazing spaces & won the RIBA small project of the year & RIBA South West award.

Two new treehouses- Dazzle and Pinwheel are individually designed and built using the same high standard of craftsmanship they were also both awarded an RIBA award.. They also have treetop hot tubs & feature a two person swing and cargo net day bed over a woodland stream.

Mallinson's Woodland Retreat is build entirely by hand using woodland thinning. No preservatives are used on our timber posts and boardwalks, instead we use species with tannin (oak, chestnut etc) that require no preservatives. LED lights throughout, compost & recycling bins provided. biodigestor for waste water. Hand green wood craftsmanship throughout.

Notes about prices

Please note that changeover days are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays only. Weekend prices are based on 3 nights or checking out as late as suits on Sunday night. Self check in from 4pm and departure by 10 am.
