Description of Loose Reins
Loose Reins is a Western Riding destination with luxury glamping accommodation for riders or non-riders wishing to experience a laid back, relaxing break in a magical landscape.
At the end of a no through road in a private Coombe, surrounded by Blandford Forest, Loose Reins nestles in the foothills of Shillingstone Hill and has far reaching views across the Blackmore Vale to the Iron Age Hill Forts of Hambledon and Hod Hills.
Accommodation is in bespoke Pioneer inspired cabins built by local craftsmen or in a six berth canvas lodge on a raised deck.
Stay in total luxury with Hypnos mattresses, Egyptian Cotton bedding, fluffy towels, electricity, instant hot water, private bathrooms, DAB Radios, wood burners and fire bowls for outdoor cooking.
Loose Reins has its own herd of American Quarter Horses and a resident Western riding trainer so guests may learn to ride Western or head out into the hills for trail rides with breathtaking views for miles.
Locally are Saxon and Georgian Market Towns, idyllic villages and award winning visitor attractions.
Less than an hour’s drive is Dorset’s jurassic coastline with iconic landmarks such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
Whether you stay with us for an hour or two, a few days or a week, whether you ride or keep both feet on the ground, Loose Reins offers true wind-down time with a sense of freedom and adventure.
