There aren't words to describe the magical feeling that descends when you arrive at Loose Reins - nestled into a beautiful coombe, you'll experience peace and tranquility, an escape from the pressures of everyday life like no other. There is a giant fire-pit and grassy area for games with horseshoe hoopla and a cattle roping game. Guests are free to roam the adjacent forest, and our friendly animals help welcome everyone. Dog owners can exercise their dogs in one of our empty paddocks.

This is glamping at its finest - the comfiest of beds, hot water on demand and properly plumbed loos! Each cabin and lodge has its own green space, stunning views, fire pit and outdoor seating. Cabins have comfy rocking chairs on the covered veranda, lodges have cushioned sofa and chairs - wonderful for sitting out on a summer's evening whilst star gazing and listening for owls.

Eco features

  • Recycling
  • Sustainability

Our motto is 'Good for you, good for our planet'. We aim to keep our carbon footprint as low as we can and improve all the time. Our menu is in totally recyclable packaging and cooked like home made. Our happy chickens are fed organically with a large safe outdoor area and wonderful coop. Our water tastes fabulous and comes from our own bore hole. We use eco cleaning products and source locally, from charcoal for your fire pit to wine for your table.

What To Bring

  • Bikes
  • Food & Drink
  • Rainwear

Our gravel paths are clean and, like the rest of Loose Reins, well maintained but bring wellies or walking boots if you plan to explore the countryside (and definitely pack them for children who'd like to join Buckaroo Club and get hands on with the animals). Do check the weather forecast before you come and pack waterproofs - this is England, after all!
