Description of The Beech Hut
The Beech Hut at Bales Ash Campsite is set in a small woody glade of beech trees adjacent to a 4 acre camping field.
It has been decorated in beach hut style and is surrounded by a picket fence to one side and dog-proof post and rail fencing on the other sides.
The Beech Hut is fully insulated and an oil fired radiator is supplied for use in the colder months.
It has a Belfast sink and standpipe for cold drinking water immediately outside and its own clean compostable toilet facilities.
A short stroll across the fields brings you to three high quality showers which are shared with our relaxed campsite during the Summer months, unlimited showers are included in the price.
There is a BBQ for use just outside The Beech Hut and a fire pit just a few metres away in the adjacent field.
Logs and kindling can be purchased on site.
The Beech Hut lies about 200 yards behind our farmhouse and adjoins a little used part of our garden on one side so it is important that any dogs are well behaved and able to get along well with other dogs.
We are about 30 minutes from the stunning North Devon beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Putsborough and just 20 minutes from the market towns of Barnstaple and South Molton.
Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with the nearby Tarka Trail and Exmoor National Park.
We are accessible by train and are happy to collect people from Umberleigh Station (hourly service from Exeter) if pre arranged.
