About Rocombe Valley Retreat

3 Yurts a Shepherds Hut, Safari Tent, and Gypsy Caravan on a working farm in beautiful countryside between the South Devon coast and Dartmoor.

Just a couple of miles from the sea with beautiful coastal walks and quiet sheltered beaches and yet just 30 minutes drive away from Dartmoor, Rocombe Valley Retreat is based at Springfields Farm in south Devon, the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A small ,peaceful site with two 16 foot yurts (sleep 4 people in each) one 18 foot yurt (sleeps 5 people) a safari tent (sleeps 6 people) a cosy shepherds hut and gypsy caravan ( both can sleep 2 people). Rocombe Valley Retreat is set in idyllic countryside beside a small stream and well stocked course fishing lakes.

Discover the wildlife in this area of outstanding natural beauty. The valley and surrounding hills have a network of lanes and tracks that connect to the coast path making it ideal countryside for walking and mountain biking.

Rocombe retreat is the perfect base to explore this area by car, as we are between the towns of Torquay ,Teignmouth and Newton Abbot , there is a lot to do all within easy reach such as the ferry ride between Shaldon and Teignmouth or the cliff railway at Babbacombe .

We are lucky to have a good choice of places to eat out ,theres the Church House Inn in the village of Stokeinteignhead (3/4 mile away) the Wild Goose in Combeinteignhead ( 1mile ) and The Thatched Tavern at Maidencombe (2miles) all serve great food and drinks.

If your cooking on site then we provide all the facilities you need including a pizza oven ,in the communal area there are also fridges and washing up facilities with mains water.

The toilets and showers are within easy reach of the accommodation and are nice and hot.

In all the accommodation we have the most wonderfully comfortable double beds with bedding provided at no extra cost!! (you will need to bring bedding for the children's futons in the yurts) .

We have a wood fired hot tub available that is perfect for star gazing on clear nights and wake to the dawn chorus after a perfect nights sleep.

We supply bedding for the double beds in all the accommodation and the two bunk beds in the safari tent. You will need to bring bedding or sleeping bags for the futons in the yurts and for the futons in the safari tent if 6 people are staying.

We have a range of accommodation that can sleep from 2 people up to 6 people. our peak prices only apply during the 6 week summer holidays.

Cancellation policy

We can only refund deposits if you cancel 4 weeks before the start of the holiday. After that time no refund of deposit will be given.
