About Lower Keats Glamping

Posh camping known as Glamping in our beautifully appointed large canvas lodges, immerse yourself in a simpler way of life in one of our six safari lodges, of which three have bookable hot tubs.

Set in the beautiful Axe Valley adjacent to the River Axe near to the impressive Jurassic Coastline, Lower Keats is the ultimate destination for luxury glamping in Devon.

Lush green pastures and unadulterated night skies offer the chance to truly unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Three lodges have bookable wood fired hot tubs.

Our lodges have their own kitchens and en-suite bathrooms, with hot running water in both, proper beds and wood burning stoves to keep you snug and warm. No cold midnight treks to the loos or cold showers here.

At Lower Keats we’ve thought of everything, even an additional full size gas hob, for that early morning cuppa or cooking without the need to fire up the stove, so that all you will need to do is sit back and enjoy your stay.

To make life easier for you we stock a range of delicious farm produce in our on site Honesty Shop - including our own meat and eggs, as well as drinks, picnic snacks and luscious artisan ice cream. Pre-order a meal for your first night and we can have it waiting for you in the larder on your arrival.

Our lodges are themed ‘Coast and Country’ with luxury indulgence with country charm.

Three lodges are named after local coastal places of interest: ‘The Cobb’, ‘Golden Cap’ and ‘Beer’ and the remaining lodges are named after animals that you are likely to see during your stay Stag, Deer & Pheasant.

Lower Keats is situated 15 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline but tucked away in secluded Devon Countryside. All guests have the opportunity to get involved with animal feeding on the farm during their stay.

We have created the perfect family or romantic getaway, or somewhere special to spend time chilling with friends. We have a communal area: The Hive, for groups to gather, eat and relax together, sheltered from the elements. We have got it all covered, if you are staying with us as a group, having a party or special birthday.

Each lodge sleeps 6 persons in proper beds with electric blankets in one king, one double and two singles. Usb sockets & lights. Fitted kitchens & wood burning stoves with oven to keep you snug and warm; en-suite bathrooms, unlimited hot running water. Lux linens, towels, bathroom products provided. Outside: private bbq's/fire pits. We can even cater for you with fresh bakery daily & home reared meat, meals and eggs. Play fort/outside gym, pizza oven, communal firepit & Hive undercover

Each lodge inside has its own fully fitted kitchen with wood burning stove with oven, twin burner gas hob, fridge, usb sockets & lighting. Electric blankets on beds. We are custodians of the land for our time here and seek to only improve it under our care. We are committed to minimising our impact using sustainable and green energy sources to light and heat our lodges, solar lanterns and wood burning stoves using locally sourced, sustainable sources of fuel. ​We supply local natural bathing products as this means that our waste water is not contaminated with anything harmful either. All sewage is treated on site through the use of innovative technology.
