We have a Biomass boiler that heats the water in the shower room. The woodburner and fire pit uses wood felled on site. The Caban is off grid and has a solar panel to supply lighting. The water comes from our bore hole. The 50 acre site is managed for nature conservation, habitats include grassland, woodland and a lake. Guests can reduce carbon use by borrowing bikes from our bike pool to get around. It is possible to get to Dunsford (our nearest village) by public transport.
We supply towels for use on site, but we ask guests to bring towels if they are planning on going wild swimming or to the beach. We recommend guests bring a torch as the track up to the Caban is quite dark.
