Description of Eversfield Safari Tents
Sprouting up on the edge of the woodlands like magical giant fungi, these two lakeside glamping tents offer complete canvas comfort in Devon.
A double room, twin room and a double cabin bed in each one means plenty of space for families or groups of friends.
There’s a sofa, dining table, a blanket box full of games, and a wood-burning stove in the kitchen but, being pitched on a big wooden deck, you can cook outside on the BBQ too and make the most of the lovely views across lake.
You can buy delicious organic meat, dairy or veg packs from the owners Anna and Jon’s farm shop.
No need to tramp up through the fields to freshen up in the morning either as each tent has its own en-suite shower pod and separate loo – just stoke the wood-fired boiler to heat up your water.
Eversfield sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, and is a perfect base for walkers who want to discover this famously wild wilderness.
At home there’s also plenty on offer – row the boat around the lake or try your hand at fly fishing.
If you catch rainbow trout you can cook it for your campfire supper whilst spotting constellations (and the occasional bat!) or just enjoy outsmarting the wily brown trout using catch and release for an afternoon.
With a Devonian organic farm on your doorstep, Anna and Jon invite you to bottle feed their lambs in the spring, visit the heard of pigs or even spot the farm sheep dog working on the farm.
