Award-winning glamping on a family-run farm in the beautiful Devon countryside, with safari tents and hot tubs.
Cuckoo Down Farm offers award-winning glamping in beautiful Devon countryside with safari tents and hot tubs.
Read moreThe glamping tents at Cuckoo Down Farm each have their own kitchen, loo and fresh drinking water. They are cosily furnished with double beds, sofa beds, cushions. Each kitchen has a bottled gas stove (two rings and a grill) and crockery, glassware and cutlery are all provided. The safari tents have their own hot showers in each tent and the yurts share a lovely, clean, spacious shower barn..
Each tent has a fully equipped kitchen with plentiful supplies of washing-up liquid, surface cleaner, kitchen cloths and tea towels, instant coffee and tea bags. We provide a starter set for your campfire/wood burner – a box of firelighters, a net of kindling, a net of logs, matches and old newspapers for lighting your woodburning stove. We provide lanterns and lights, all are re-chargeable and/or solar powered. Don’t forget to bring your own torches though.
We try to be as low-impact on the environment as possible. Our cleaning products are eco-friendly and we use sustainably-sourced wood for our wood burning stoves. The loos are compost (and very well designed and pleasant!). We recycle as much as possible and make it easy for our guests to do the same. Our farm produces high-welfare, free-range pork and lamb and all our animals are happy and well cared for.
We aim to make this a holiday where you don't have to bring too much kit, as we have thought of everything and provided it!

Explore the three-acre oak wood, see birds, badgers, foxes, deer and owls. Build dens and dam the stream, run about, fly kites, bring kids’ bikes to ride round the field. In Spring, feed the lambs and maybe even see some born (due dates mid – late May). Ride our pony Ebony, play football, rounders, frisbee and cricket. Spot stars at night, light camp fires, toast sausages and marshmallows. Collect eggs, feed the chickens, play with our sheepdog Lily. Book holistic treatments and yoga classes.
