A beautifully equipped comfy yurt with private kitchen & toilet, the perfect base for exploring the Lakes, Dales & Eden Valley.
Comfy, cosy, well equipped yurt in a lovely peaceful setting. A perfect base for exploring the Lakes & the Yorkshire Dales. 10 minute walk to 2 friendly village pubs serving great food and ales.
Far Field Yurt sits in its own 3 acre meadow with a small native woodland behind it. So there's lots of space either to rest quietly with nature or to play like a wild thing, as mood or age dictate.
Beautifully furnished with vintage & handmade oak furniture, the yurt is fully insulated, with a toasty 5kW wood burning stove, thick wool carpet, comfy beds, and a lovely tranquil atmosphere.
Two big windows make the yurt lovely and light in the daytime, while at night you can view the stars in our dark skies through the clear central dome in the roof.
Yurt guests have exclusive use of a well equipped camp kitchen with 2 ring gas cooker, cool box with ice supplied, and everything needed to cook proper meals for up to five people. if you don't feel like cooking, try one of our 2 excellent village pubs, both serving very good food and just 10 minutes walk from the yurt.
In the garden is your own campfire complete with BBQ cooking equipment, garden chairs and fairy lights; a picnic table; and a rather fabulous double hammock. All around are superb views of the fields and fells. Oh, and some very friendly sheep....
Tucked into the little woodland behind is a bijou private composting toilet.
Free hot showers in proper bathrooms are always available on our little farm campsite.
With excellent access to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks - but none of the hustle and bustle - the local area is beautiful, unspoiled and remarkably undiscovered. Our complimentary booklet ‘Nine Great Walks from Low Greenside’ will help you to explore the surrounding countryside on foot from your doorstep. Comprehensive visitor information is provided on other things to do locally and for days out.
