Eco-friendly glamping retreat situated on a working organic farm in the historic Cornish fishing village of Polperro.
Relax on the edge of a working farm, with solar powered facilities and campfires in the Cornish fishing village of Polperro. 15 mins walk to Polperro and 10 min drive to Looe and scenic coastal paths
Quality yurts with comfy double mattresses on wooden beds, with log burners, wood, kindling and tea lights. There are 2 fully equipped kitchens with 2 fridge freezers, 2 kettles, a microwave, gas hob and all the pots, pans, mugs, forks etc for cooking most meals. The 2 shower rooms are tiled, with quality flooring and each have a basin, toilet and mirror for a decent start to the day. Each yurt has a screened enclosure with the other 3 units being at least 60 metres apart.
Each yurt has a hammock, fire pit, sun loungers/camping chairs and private seating. There is a communal kitchen and a very large hand made outdoor table that can fit 18 people around it. There is also a new larger kitchen now where you can sit in, eat at the table or just play cards of an evening. We have a 9 hole football golf course for all abilities (a bit like crazy golf with a football), along with swings and swing ball for you and your partner to enjoy. Most of all, peace and q
We take all our power from 1/4 acre of solar panels. Our water comes from our natural spring and we have a soak away drainage system for our waste water. It is UV tested to make sure that it is safe to drink as well. We recycle and up-cycle wherever possible.
We have tea-lit lanterns for lighting in the yurts as the electricity is in the 2 kitchen areas. This provides a nice ambiance and it means the log burner looks better as well! =) We have solar lighting on the gravel pathways and fairy lights around the shower block, so you don't really have to use your phone as a torch. Guests are advised to bring towels for showering and milk for the hot drinks available in the kitchen, perhaps some breakfast things to go in the fridge unless you eat out.
The owner does not have a video of their glamping site.
Cornwall has a range of activities on offer to suit almost everyone. Coastal walks/seaside are probably number 1. We send you a handful of ideas and local things to do to get you started in the welcome email, which also includes directions, things to bring and places to eat/drink/visit whilst enjoying your mini break with us. It really depends whether you are looking to enjoy the site seeing, walking, cooking, shopping, history, exploring, eating out, relaxing, adventure or all of the above.
Please contact us for specific enquiries or see our website for further pricing options. Whole site bookings are available for 8-16 people under canvas. You can also then add as many extra campers as you wish in the 9 acre field. This is for site bookings only, although some teenagers prefer their own tent from the parents which is acceptable.
You may receive a full refund if we can re-book your holiday.
