A stylish boutique glamping site & retreat centre set in a secluded meadow overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in North Cornwall.
Nestled in a meadow with sea views from every tent, Soul Camping has been voted among the best glamping sites in Britain by The Times newspaper two years in a row.
Soul Camping is a boutique, off grid site, set within an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
We encourage campfires, relaxing in our wood burning hot tub and joining one of our daily yoga classes.
A 20 minute walk from the Coast Path and beach at Port Isaac, and only a few minutes drive from huge sandy beaches at Polzeath and Rock, and with many other tranquil and more private coves on our doorstep, We are perfectly placed for surfing, wild swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing and cycling. We work closely with local adventure sports companies to be able to provide our guests with the best local instruction and experiences.
Join us for family holidays, honeymoons, 70th birthday parties, yoga retreats, corporate events and relaxed hen parties. We provide a personal service and are always happy to help you plan your holiday activities.
Our tents are fully furnished with beautifully comfy beds and linen. All you need to bring are your clothes and toiletries. Each tent has it’s own campfire, BBQ brazier, outdoor eating area, and composting loo.
We have 4 children ourselves, and have traveled extensively so we know what families need when camping and on adventures. Each year try to add little extras to make it just a bit more special and unique.
If you like star gazing, talking by the fire, eating together outside, watching the sun set into the sea from the hot tub, listening to the owls hoot as you fall asleep and lots of privacy then this is the campsite for you.
With a wood burning hot tub, a purpose built yoga studio, daily classes and treatments on offer, Soul Camping is starting to feel more like a retreat centre than a campsite. The ambiance is one of playful relaxation, with children unplugged and running through the meadow with friends they have made in neighboring tents. Cars stay in the parking area and the nearest road is half a mile away, so there is real peace and freedom.
At twilight campfires glow from all corners of the meadow as the steam starts to rise from the hot tub. There is a fire in front of the kitchen where friends gather and others go to the privacy of their own fire and tent. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy cooking, eating and drinking, and cater for large gatherings. The cooker and water is run on gas and all the lighting is solar powered. Candles and lanterns adorn long trestle tables for alfresco dining.
We love Cornwall and so do literally millions of other people and we are acutely aware that if we don't look after this beautiful place it won't be here for our children to enjoy in the way we do. As we pack our site away for the winter each year we leave the meadow as if it were untouched. Each year we try to make the campsite more luxury and have even less impact than the year before. As we have grown our impact and environmental foot print have not.
We provide absolutely everything you will need for a very comfortable camping holiday. You just need to bring your clothes, beach stuff, wellies and woollies. There are extra cool boxes and camping gas stoves for you to use if you want to be independent form the field kitchen. There is a really well stocked farm shop at the end of our lane for provisions, a local Co-op that is 5 minutes drive away and big super markets in Wadebridge, 20 minuites away.
The owner does not have a video of their glamping site.
We run daily yoga classes throughout the summer. The family Wednesday morning class often sees the whole campsite out on mats in fits of laughter on a sunny morning and often a few attendees in pyjamas. Other mornings and evenings we run a holistic and nurturing program of restorative and uplifing sessions for adults and mature children. The focus is of health, relaxation and vitality.
