Description of Real Glamping at the Fir Hill
Stay in luxurious, spacious yurts overlooking the stunning Porth Reservoir and Cornish countryside, less than 5km from the beautiful sand and surfer friendly beaches of Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall.
A new glampsite which is unique in being totally offgrid…with a 10kW solar power station, solar thermal energy for the luxury showers (and biomass boiler for those occasional gloomy days).
Situated within the historic ruined Estate, Real Glamping at the Fir Hill is within 3 miles of Newquay and its various attractions…beaches, restaurants etc…
Accommodation is provided by very large yurts with 34.4 square meter floor space, each with a king size bed and 2 double beds.
Each unit has tea /coffee facilities including fresh drinking water, crockery and cutlery for up to 6 people, a fire pit and a large A-frame bench/table within an enclosed private area.
Each yurt is situated on its own wooden deck in a raised position, the deck providing an additional seating area.
Central facilities include an architect designed partly restored barn which serves as a cafe and quiet area for adults to observe the magnificent views.
In addition the Cowshed provides 8 luxury showers and an indoor family area for general usage (particularly useful on rainy days).
Outside the Barn and the Cowshed is a large terrace with an outdoor kitchen with plentiful outdoor seating, benefiting from the splendid views over the Porth valley.
There are also several other barbecue areas for general usage…with a pizza oven and roasting facilities.
